Can grow to 13′ high in one season with proper watering and fertilizing.

Hardy bananas love the moisture but the soil must drain well. Will not live in standing water.
Once the foliage is hit by frost cut back to the ground. Cover with 6 to 8 inches of mulch. In early spring, before growth starts, remove the mulch and let the plant come back up when the temperatures rise.
