Heat-loving plants supply endless beauty and interest to your flowerbeds, containers and borders. Each individual flower lasts a very long time on the plant, and in the vase. Zinnias are edible, but have little flavor. The colorful flowers can make a pretty garnish to salads, desserts, cold drinks, or serving trays. (The flower’s central disk, while edible, can be bitter.)
